WIC Guide

The federal government has several public assistance programs designed for all types of people, including women and children. The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children – shortened to WIC – provides nutrition assistance and education to low-income pregnant women, breastfeeding women, postpartum women and children younger than 5. To qualify, your income must fall below your state’s limit for the program. You may also need to meet residency requirements and be considered “at nutritional risk.” Certain medical conditions may qualify you automatically.
